Hi phyllis,

No I dont think you cheatch on the Saturday night, but if you did - did it make you feel guilty. I've been following the eating plan from Body for Life. And its states in there to have ONE - yes ONE day off a week where you can eat what every you like as long as you go back on track the very next day. This seems to be working, so far I've now lost 5.5kgs in 4 weeks and 5 days and building mean muscle mass at the same time. I've stumbled upon a personal trainer at the gym I've joined who won the South Australian Body Building Champs twice and came 4th in the Nationals and qualified for Miss Olympia. She really knows her stuff and I've now had two half hours sessions with her. Basically the key to loosing the weight is definately eat every three hours on the dot - even set your watch to it. Replace 3 out of your six meals a day with a high protein low carb shake like musashi or sculpt by Horleys. And your away laughing. Get that cardio in every second day for at least 20-30 minutes. Hopefully come November I'll be able to fly from Adelaide here to Auckland to compete in the body building champs there with a girlfriend from Palmerston North. Well thats my goal anyway. Still got 15.5kg to go. Wish me luck - I'm gonna need it with three kids mouths to fill aswell as my own. lol!!!

Hi Pyllis,
I had been thinking for awhile that these extra kilo's I was carrying just had to go! I then read your article and somehow it sruck a cord with me, mostly because it was about a 'real' person. So here i was reading the mag and I went and jumped on the scales...can you imagine my horror that the 'couple ' of extra kilos was infact alot more and i had hit a new low of 90kg. So that was it I signed up straight away to your site and got back into a healthy eating plan and spend a min of 1 hr a day on exercise 5 days per week. And you may be please to know in 3 weeks I have droped 4 kilos! plus my husband loves the new menu plan, so all the family are eating healthier so must be good for us all.
So keep up the good work and I hope to be able to join you at christmass with the 70kg target!

Regards Tara

Allright Pyllis,

Get real here!! You have this challenge you've set yourself up to do and your going to do it right. Just think about the end of it and when you have still 5 kgs to drop and you think back to that Saturday night when you gave into that voice in your head - you will be kicking yourself. Don't listen to that voice. Your the little kid in the lollie store and use that voice as the responsible adult and use distraction or an alternative - like pull over the turkish restaurant for some grilled chiken and chilli sauce on salad and not at the fish and chip shop!! You can still have a yummy feed and you will feel great in the morning knowing you havent blown it. Also I used to get vodka and diet lemonade for a drink if I couln't resisit. I'd also fool my friends who thought i was drinking along side them and get a water/lime juice in a wine glass - looks just like wine and you can then drive home and go to where you want to go for a snack and not be driving by a mate to the chippie. Get what I mean!! I've lost now 4.5 kg in four weeks. Going to the gym 6 days a weeks doing weights on three of these days and cardio on the other three. Eating every three hours and having 30-40 gms of protein with every meal. Watch out I'm catching up to you - today I'm 77.0kg on the dot. If I eat every three hours - I never get the craving for a "snack" -try that it works. As for wether you cheated on that Sat night - I dont think you did. Good for you if you didn't - will you let us know?
