6.3 Kilos! In Two Weeks
I am sitting at the airport waiting for my flight home. It has been an amazing two weeks and I am so very glad I DID IT! I lost 6.3 kilos in two weeks but that wasn’t the only thing. I learnt so much about myself in the journey.
I made some new friends learnt how to run properly and with the stuff I have learnt I feel not only can I tackle my weight issue but I feel even more impowered to help others. I have been talking as you know with Damian from the DownSize Me programme and I feel it is very important to get the word out about losing weight and getting your body and health back so in October/November I will be touring with him to assist in bringing his Power Of Food Talk with a focus on Weight Loss to the cities of New Zealand. We are just working out how and what PRICE I can offer to the readers and followers of my story. That will be out this week when I get home.
At today’s weight in two of my new friends lost an incredible 10 kilos and the other 11 kilos at our weigh in you might think i would be disappointed with my 6.3 kilos but I know I gave it my all and worked as hard as I could so to lose that much is great. The girl who lost 11 kilos now has the House record for the most weight loss. I am also looking at organising a group from New Zealand to go over and experience the House together for two weeks with possibly a bulk price so stay tuned – it is expensive and I know that Damian’s 16 week Programme will be far more cost effective and almost as empowering – he is offering the chance to get on board with the programme on his up coming tour. I have only 9 weeks to go now and 10.3 kilos to lose but as I say what I don’t know about weight loss now isn’t worth knowing !!! I am on fire!! I am looking forward to reporting my weight loss each week from now on!! Bring the finish Line on!!
Love Phyllis xx

Wow congratulations! I Knew you could do it!! and wow thats impressive 6.2km in 45 minutes, and i’ll say it since the other girls didn’t WELL DONE!! I can’t believe 6.3 kgs in two weeks, it almost sounds impossible, but you did it. Would love to see an update of your new and improved self posted on your blog. The most weight i have ever lost is about 7kg. That was a long time ago. I used to have quite good will power and now my will power has disappeared. Whats your secret to staying so focused! I want to lose weight really badly but for some reason I can never stick with it! any ideas??

Added on October 16th, 2008 at 4:39 pmHi Phyllis, Good on you for sticking with it, I am very proud of you as are the rest of NZ woman reading your experience. I have started this 7-day plan, http://www.osteopath.com.au/fat.htm and I have also discovered some great recipes at ‘formula for life.’ This may or may not help you or others out there. I love the food and don’t feel hungry, I actually feel guilty for eating so much, but it works so well.
This is my 3rd week and I have lost 5 kgs so far. I am now 69.9! This is the first time under 70kg in over 2 years when I lost over 24kgs. So I am back on the track and really wanting to push through to the end with you.
I have just added weight resistance to my bike – a trailer carrying my 5 year old son. I can’t believe I used to carry more than his weight around with me every day, in every step I took.
I hope that you are doing the running with your hubby and I am sure we would all love to see some new pictures of you.
Good luck, Nicole

Added on October 19th, 2008 at 10:00 pmHi Phyllis, I have been having trouble shifting weight since the birth of my 1st baby in December. I put on 20kgs with my pregnancy and have got 6.9kgs to lose before I’m at my target weight of 69kgs. Reading your story has helped me realise its not just going to happen, I have to MAKE it happen. I’m exercising 40 mins a day (walk/run) and eating healthy along with drinking heaps of water. In the last 2 weeks, I’ve lost 3.1kgs. Thankyou for your story.

Added on October 21st, 2008 at 2:31 pmHi Phyllis
I was at Damians seminar last night. Congratulations on your loss so far, you look amazing and are doing great. Keep it up!
Thoroughly enjoyed the seminar, found it entertaining, informative and very thought provoking. My heart sank thou during the presentation for the 112 day challenge. I think it’s an amazing package, a hug lifestyle chane and head start but sadly out of the reach of someone like myself..a single mum with 3 kids trying to make ends meet each day. I am still inspired tho and with 70 kg to lose I know I have a long road ahead of me but feel better informed to try and tackle it after last night.

Added on October 25th, 2008 at 6:22 pmHello Phyllis, I went to Damian’s Dunedin seminar last Thursday (23/10) and was truly inspired by your story and even more so when I logged onto your blog. I’ve already made changes since in my food and exercise. I gained weight when I gave up smoking on 1.1.07 and picked up a diet coke habit which I stopped on Friday! (At the time diet coke seemed a healthy choice than smoking but any excuse period is long since gone.) Still trying to work out my ‘wobble factor’.
I believe you will reach your goal and looking forward to reading of your success!! Best wishes, Lynne
