I made it and have started My Book

So many people have emailed me and asked for a new picture update. Here is my photo that has been done for my book cover.
I am also been asked by people to keep up my blog so here is my first post for the New Year
I am off to walk the Queen Charlotte Track this coming Wednesday and sooo looking forward to it. It has been an interesting end to the year and a challenging start to the year for me.
With Garry getting cancer and a number of other little things happening. The doctor found a lump I’m my breast last week and I was shipped off for a mammogram and an ultrasound on Friday and I’m happy to say it is not cancerous. I just have lumpy breasts! Probably couldn’t feel it through the layers of fat before.
I have put on 5 kilos over Christmas as I gave myself a few days off that grew into a week that grew into a month that grew into 6 weeks. I am happy to say I am back on the bandwagon if that’s what its called. I confessed to Damian that I broke lose longer than I should have and he is so supportive, just said get your act together people are depending on you and they are. But most important I am depending on me. I love my new body and I love the size 10 clothes. Mostpeople havent noticed my gain but the clothes are starting to get snug.
Garry and I got up and went for a 5 km walk this morning and I have eaten well today , no more potato chips or taking a bit out of everything that walks past me .
To write often is going to be great for me to keep me focused plus I am helping Damian with his tour again. I seriously encourage you even if you don’t have a weight issue to attend as the information you will receive from a health perspective is huge
If you want to know the dates and if he is coming to a town near you check out www.nzeventplanners.co.nz and put the word promo in the code as it will give you cheaper tickets.

It’s inspiring for all of us to know that you can take some time off at some point and get back on track, that’s what’s going to make all the difference to make this long term. Looking forward to seeing you in the flesh again soon! Love,
Desi
