Losing Weight and Committment – The Biggest Loser

49 Days To Go (112 Day Challenge)

Yes I went missing in Action again! I have been away and distracted and guess what – it shows up in my level of commitment and focus on losing weight!

I have put back on a kilo so I’m back to 78 Kilos. I sat down and worked out that I will need to lose now every month without fail 3 kilos a month! That may sound simple but we all know weight loss seems simple if you base it on maths but when you base it on real life – its not! else we would all be skinny.

Last night I watched the American version of biggest loser and it got me inspired as all weight loss shows do. I am going to have to act like I’m in my own ‘BIGGEST LOSER” camp if I am to succeed. The funny thing is that , this is my usual pattern of behaviour in that I leave every thing to the last possible minute and if I keep going the way I am I will not have any where to go but lose my challenge and that won’t do!

Watch this space!

  1. Phyllis! We did a smidgen of tri training together back in 2004! I had no idea you were struggling with your size, I thought you were hanging back so you didn’t have to listen to me talk, talk, talk along Anzac Drive! I also find the Biggest Loser really motivating and a reminder that there is opportunity in everyday to work up a sweat and let my body exercize all its magnificent parts. I reached an all time high of 89kg once but have managed to keep it down at 60 kg or less for 7 years now! I wanted to let you know that seeing your website has encouraged me back into triathlon and I hope to see your gorgeous slim self at the Womens series this summer! Rock on, you hot tomale!

  2. What happenend to having Damien on? I also want to find out if there is anyone in CHCH doing the live blood tests that you had done in Queenstown? It is comforting to hear that i am not the only one that has a slip back!! I am sure you will be right back on track now!! Bella

  3. I to get so inspired by the biggest loser TV series it inspires me to eat well for like two days and then i fall off the wagon again. I joined your site weighing 95kg after reading your article in Thats Life and i have now got down to 85kg. the emails i get from you every now and then help me try to saty on track and remind me that i am not alone in this battle. So thank you for this great thing you are doing and just remember when you have a bad day you are helping so many other people try to get healthy and lose weight just from your inspirational story. hopefully i can stay on track more than going off and reach my goal weight of 65kg’s. Thank you again.
