Hi Phyllis.

Great to hear your going to do the Body for Life programme, I used to be a member of a gym in Palmerston North who put me onto that back in 2000 and I did it then for my wedding 12 weeks out and lost 27. I then had kids as we do and guess what happened I let it all go. I then got back on track and lost it again plus 11 more kilos =38 kgs. Its a never ending battle for us women we cant just do it and get to our goal weights and prey it stays that way - before you know it you've climbed back up again. We need to make a plan along with doing the weight loss thing is to set up a system for once we reach the goal to be able to maintain that. Mine is to keep walking once I reach it - 3 times a week and keep taking my protein shakes morning and afternoon tea. Resorting to surgery and gastric banding isnt an option for me anymore been there done that. So now my health comes first and I need to start looking after me and not just my kids.

Body for life is great once you get past the first week. It does work and if you want to step it up - cut out the middle column of carbs, just do the proteins and vege, combine it with a low carb mulivit/protein powder like sculpt and cardio/weight training 6 days and the kgs will melt off. Good luck - you can do it just plan ahead for it.

WOW that is awesome work! especially when the more you lose the slower it comes off! I would really like to join a gym, and go every lunch at work but the cost of gym memberships are amazingly expensive!
